Mrs. Wertz's Kindergarten Class |
|
On Monday we met our book buddies for the first time. Mrs. Soons 3rd graders will be coming to our classroom once a week to read with us. It is very exciting to have a new big kid friend. This class is full of nature lovers. They are so gentle and kind to all of the creatures they find. We watched this little inch worm for several minutes. Cici made sure no one hurt him before letting him go back to his home.We have moved on in math from shapes to counting. We will be working on counting to 100 by ones and tens, starting at a number and counting on and writing the numbers from 0-20. The children love working in math centers. Thank you so much for sending the items for the ecology garden. We will place all the things in the box tomorrow and draw a map of the contents before burying our ecology garden. The children have been making predictions about what the earth will be able to eat and what we might find on Earth Day when we dig it up.
