I hope you have a wonderful week off next week. I would love to see pictures of your adventures or a story written by your child (with help if needed). When we return to school we will study dental health. If anyone works in this field or has a close friend who would enjoy talking to children about how to care for their teeth, we would love a guest speaker.
We started our week by making our Valentine card holders. The children had such fun creating these hearts. I have enjoyed looking at them hanging up in our room all week. Ms. Dennis had these wonderful Tiger hats prepared for us to make at library time. She had read a book called Mr. Tiger last week. It is fun to be in Kindergarten. This week our poem was Hug A War by Shel Silverstein. I hope you enjoy your magnet watercolored heart poem from your child. Today we had our special Kindergarten Valentine lunch. Everyone seemed to have a great time. I was thrilled that there was no crying when parents, grandparents, and friends had to go home! We are growing up. The photo booth was a big hit. Thank you Mrs. Howarth. Today we had a visiting author/ magician. The children loved all of his tricks. They had many theories about how he made the root beer disappear and how he got that little ball in Ms. Dennis's mouth. He really did a great show.
