I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
We had a wonderful week reading many versions of The Little Red Hen. The children put the story in order using pictures and then created a book. They made silly chickens in our art center and also compared Henny Penny and The Little Red Hen. After Field Day we baked bread together and everyone helped! Baking Bread Field Day We all loved welcoming the chicks on Monday and Tuesday. We have Fast Hatcher (Fast for short), Monkey and Mite (small/dynomite). I will try to bring them back once a week for the last 2 weeks of school. It is so much fun to watch them grow. Next week we will read books by Eric Carle and make our own Eric Carle paper. We will also read and learn more about bugs and go on a bug hunt on the playground. Crazy to think we only have 2 more weeks together. I sure have had an amazing year with your children. We are all now readers and writers. I am so proud of each of them.
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
