This week we read many versions of The Three Bears. The children listened to the story at our listening center and then acted out the story using masks or flannel board pieces. So sweet to hear their voices saying, "oh, this porridge is too hot". We also thought about what we know about real bears, created a list and then added to it after reading a nonfiction bear book. Your children know so much!
Teddy Bear picnic was a big success. Every child remembered to bring an animal. We sorted the animals, made patterns with them and put them in order from biggest to smallest. Of course the best part for me was when the children told about their animals. We also went outside and had a little picnic with our animals. |
Oh, and if anyone ever needs a copy of my Curriculum Night handouts, including our Daily Schedule, they are now on the "For The Parents" page of the website to access anytime.
Have a great weekend!
