Today the weather changed and we had many fun hats and gloves! Children just make me laugh : ) What a great pose! I love it. Tuesday we had a ribbon cutting ceremony for our new writing unit. We talked about how we had been writing stories about our lives, "small moment" stories and now we will begin to use our writing to teach the reader something new. The children have had such fun writing How-to books! They have written about How to swim, How to do gymnastics, How to build a fort, and my favorite; How to chase a deer. Your children make my life so full of laughter and fun. Thank you for sharing them with me. I love them so. Next week we will focus on Thanksgiving. We will read many versions of the book Stone Soup. This story focuses on how community is built through sharing what you have with others. I love teaching this at Thanksgiving time when we are thinking about what we are grateful for. As I reflect on my year, I am grateful for smiling children, kind parents, supportive administration at a brand new school, my family and my health. Thank you for being a part of my life.
