Today was amazing, starting with a visit from Ms. Alison (Natalie's mom). She told us about the holiday, Rosh Hashana. We learned the Hebrew name for pomegranate and even tasted the pomegranate seeds. We learned that during the Jewish New Year celebration the tradition is to eat apples dipped in honey and say a blessing for a sweet new year. We tasted apples and honey and thought of how we can be kind. Thank you Alison for coming and sharing with us. |
Then later in the morning Ms. Nicole came from the Wylde Center to plant winter vegetables with us. How much fun can a class have in one week? She read The Tiny Seed, we sorted seeds and we planted Kohlrabi. What? I asked the same thing. I can't wait to watch it grow and taste it one day soon.
Have a wonderful week. I look forward to hearing all about your adventures... at a special camp, hanging out with mom and dad, on a Disney Cruise, at Disney World, at Nana's, at the beach, etc. If you have time, draw a picture of something fun you did and bring it to school. We would love to talk about what you did over fall break.
