During our last week of school we will have 4 days of fun. Tuesday will be game day, Wednesday will be Science day, Thursday is Art day, and Friday will be bubble day. We will continue having specials throughout the week. Hoping to have a great time finishing up and saying goodbye for the summer. Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Enjoy traveling somewhere or spending time in our great city at the Arts Festival.
We have been reading Fairy Tales this week. Today we filled a pocket chart with, What you might find in a Fairy Tale. Ask your child about the features of this type of story. The children enjoyed creating their Coat of Arms. Thank you for all of the contributions to the egg drop challenge. We watched several videos showing different ways to build contraptions to protect the egg and then worked together to create our own. Our EL principle this month is collaboration and competition. The children learned that in reality this is really hard! Many of them wanted to make their own individual creation, but we persevered and found success. It was so exciting to go outside and drop our contraptions off the wall and see what happened. Only one egg broke in the fall. Now the challenge comes in choosing the one creation to go on to the Kindergarten drop. It will be a difficult decision.
