It was quite cold this week, so we had to cover our baby plants. We did this together and I think they survived. Hopefully that will be the last of winter.
I visited my grandchildren this weekend. Feeling so much love for them.

We had such a fun week of magic in Kindergarten. The children designed traps for the leprechaun on Tuesday, built the traps on Wednesday and added a letter to the leprechaun on Thursday. Of course Friday was a bit crazy as we tried so hard to catch that sneaky rascal, but once again he slipped away. The children enjoyed literacy centers focusing on rainbows and magic. They wrote about what they would do if they found a pot of gold and learned a new poem. Many of the children memorized the poem. Asked your child if they can recite it to you. They had a choice to write a spring book or make a pre-made book. I was surprised at how many decided to write their own. They are writing so much. It was quite cold this week, so we had to cover our baby plants. We did this together and I think they survived. Hopefully that will be the last of winter. This week we will kick-off our Bug Expedition with a walking field trip to Woodland Gardens on March 22, Wednesday. If you are walking with us, please arrive at school at or before 11:40 am. Mrs. Manasso will talk with you about expectations for chaperons and we will head out around 12:00. The trip might last until 1:30. Thank you so much for taking the time to join us. The children are already so excited to learn more about bugs. I introduced the new bug books to them last week and they have been a big hit. I can't wait to hear about the birthday parties that happened over the weekend. We have 4 children turning 6 in the next few days!
