What a fun week we had reading all about rainbows and leprechaun luck. The children learned the color sequence in a rainbow and it was reinforced in art with Mrs. Howarth. We wrote about what we would do if we found a pot of gold. We also worked very hard to prepare for the Student Led Conferences coming up soon. The children were so excited about the possibility of a visit from the leprechaun that on Thursday we created leprechaun traps. Glitter, coins, glue, sparkles, string and other things were used to try and trap the clever leprechaun, but alas he got away! Maybe next year. On Friday our school skyped with the grandson of Jacques Cousteau, Fabien Cousteau. What an amazing opportunity for the children. He had a great slide show for us that included videos of him under the sea in his shark submarine. I hope your child told you about this amazing time.
