Last week we took a wonderful little break from being Zoologists and focused on love! The children practiced a Shel Silverstein poem, made a book about what they love, created a card with the love sign language symbol and worked hard to make beautiful Valentine boxes. It was a nice week leading up to our Winter Break. We played some fun Valentine's Day games. Of course counting and reading were involved, even if no one noticed the learning going on. Each day of February we are learning about a famous Black American. Ask your child about some of the people we have read about. The children loved dancing to Pharrell Williams "Happy" song. Next week we are back to being Scientist with your study of amphibians. We will also celebrate "Two Two" Day on Tuesday. If your child would like to wear a tutu on 2/22/2022, please remind them. What a great excuse to wear a tutu, just sayin. I hope you had a wonderful week off. As always the children would love to share pictures from your travels, grandparents visits, park playdates, animal escapes or visits, etc. Just send the pictures to my email and I can easily pull them up on the board. Lucy, I have yours ready!
