What a wonderful Friday we had in Kindergarten. We celebrated everything 100. Thank you so much for helping with our 100 items museum. We set our collections up in our room and then visited the other classrooms looking for similarities and differences. The children had a great time rotating through centers of...100 big cups, 100 small cups, 100 cards, and a 100 picture. The best part of the day was hiding and finding 100 kisses with numbers on the bottom. The children searched for the candies and then placed them on the 100's chart. Holder found the last one! Dafna found the number 100. So much excitement and joy. At the very end of the day, we counted out our 100 pieces of snack. How much fun to eat 100 things! I kept hearing, "This is the best thing I have ever eaten!". I love Kindergarten. We also learned about animals and plants that live in the Savanna. Ask your child about the 2 seasons in the Savanna and how animals have adapted to survive in this environment. Next week we will focus on the forest region. Thank you for signing up for Student Led Conferences and Mystery Reader. On Friday, we had our first Reader. The class loved it. The day after Student Led Conferences, we will celebrate Valentine's Day. Please send in a shoe box (or another type of box) to be painted and decorated for that special day. Also, it is nice to have your child write his/her friends' names on the cards. This is great reading and writing practice for them. ( names: Holder, Paxton, Ben, Hannah, Keller, Everett, Leo, Dexter, Harrison, Jonathan, Grace, Dafna, Zoey, Grant, Annabel, Teddy, and Aiden). Thank you for making this a fun time for your children.
